All Nations Theatre Society is a Calgary based popular theatre company founded in 1991. We work with communities (schools, organizations and groups) using participatory theatre techniques to explore issues and facilitate positive social change through interactive workshops and theatre.

Position: Program Coordinator
Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Artistic Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the successful development and implementation of community based theatre programming and ensuring the programs and services contribute to the organization's mission.

The primary areas of responsibility and related duties include:
Program Planning and Implementation:
• Development and facilitation of a variety of community theatre processes including: on-going community residency programs, one time participatory theatre workshops for community groups and agencies and facilitating the creation and presentation of community plays.
• Training and supervision of contracted artists and facilitators through individual support, mentorship and training workshops.
• Participation in the development and implementation of program evaluation plans and documentation of program activities.
Community Development:
• Development of on-going relationships with community groups and agencies that are interested in using popular theatre
• Assisting in the development and implementation of theatre projects with community partners
• Providing opportunities for community partners to develop understanding of and skill in the use of popular theatre in community development initiatives.

Competencies:
• Ability to use participatory theatre techniques with diverse community groups
• Ability to work and collaborate with diverse groups of youth, adults, stakeholders and community members
• Working knowledge of community development and the role of theatre/creative processes in community development
• Strong facilitation skills in social justice work with diverse groups
• Strong organizational/project management skills and ability to work independently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills- oral and written, MS Word and Internet literacy.

Qualifications:
• An undergraduate or post-graduate degree in a related field (Fine Arts-Drama, Education or Social Work) is preferred.
• Training and experience in popular theatre or Theatre of the Oppressed Techniques including Forum/Image Theatre techniques are assets.
• The preferred candidate will have experience in youth programming, project coordination and community development.
• A valid class 5 driver’s license and access to an automobile is required.
• Grant-writing, reporting and outcome measurement experience are definite assets.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
